Classée "Mémoire du Monde" par l'UNESCO, la
Tapisserie de Bayeux est une broderie, longue de 70 mètres,
réalisée au XIe siècle.
Célébrant la conquête de l'Angleterre par
Guillaume, duc de Normandie, cette toile de lin a probablement été
brodée par des moines dans le sud de l'Angleterre après la bataille
d'Hastings le 14 octobre 1066.

Classified " Memory of the World " by the
UNESCO, the Bayeux Tapestry is an embroidery, 70 metres long,
realized in the XIth century.
Celebrating the conquest of England by Guillaume,
duke of Normandy, this linen painting was probably exaggerated by
monks in the South of England after the battle of Hastings on
October 14th, 1066.
