Located in beautiful Dorchester County on an uninhabited island south of Hooper's Island and across the Honga River from Wingate... This area is pure and simple Dorchester County at its finest. I truly love this spot and have spent many hours exploring here. Nearby some pelicans have taken up residency (the first pelicans I have personally seen in Maryland) and you'll see a number of fish hawk (osprey) nests on the way here too.
Obviously, you must access this by boat. There's a sandy beach right by this location. Depending on the size of your boat, you can either anchor nearby and wade in or pull the motor up and paddle in.
The cache is designed to blend in enough that it can't easily be spotted by someone who is not a cacher, but it's an easy find. I didn't want you to get all the way out here and not be able to find it. It's a short walk from the beach...the easiest route is to land at the beach closest to the coordinates and walk in so that you're headed basically west towards the cache. There is a ton of poison ivy on this island. Keep in mind that to find this cache, you will not have to go through any of the poison ivy....just stay over to the right and you will see the cache.
