Well, that other famous bushy-tailed Canberra Cacher really likes to torture visitors to this majestic mountain. Not only do you go prematurely bald/grey/looney trying to figure out the fiendish puzzles, you then need to risk life and limb to log the cache. Caches with names like Tennent's Torment, Tennent's Torture & Tennennt's Terror ! Shhheeeeeshhhhh !
Well, enough of that. Solve the puzzle, enjoy the walk, admire the views, vote 1 Agent Basil for president of Geocachers Inc.
Here is the puzzle, are you ready ????
Who was the smeg-head, noobie cacher who stoopidly went and hid a micro cache further up this hill (archived today in fact)? Was it
a) Agent Basil
or
b) Santa Claus
If you pick a) then please proceed to
S 35 32.150 E 149 02.955
If you pick b) are you sure ? You don't want to reconsider ? Ok, then you need to go to the North Pole (and you can find your own coordinates)
In all seriousness, you are on your way to the Cypress Pines lookout, via a pleasant walking track. It's about 2.4 k from the Visitor Centre parking lot, shorter if you park further down the road where the trail crosses the road. Not too steep but not suitable for strollers. The walk culminates in a lovely look-out. Maybe then, you will be tempted to maybe take the trail to the top. If not, no worries, I am sure you will have enjoyed your walk and the views........but there are a couple of straight forward caches towards the top.........
BTW, I utilised the services of AB's Cache Testing Service (as described in the GCA Forums - ACT Caching section). I'm pretty sure he said 2.5 before passing out.
