Geocache Description:

A down-to-earth traditional cache with a taste of cold war spying.

A dead drop is a location used by two spies to secretly exchange information without requiring them to meet. The dead drop container and location are usually common everyday things/places to which most people would not pay any attention.

This dead drop location also offers an opportunity to run/walk/cycle amongst the vineyards (dogs are welcome) and a great view over False Bay, the Cape Flats and the back of Table Mountain – especially striking around sunset.

The 50ml cache container (2x micro) is camouflaged well and a pencil and sharpener are supplied. Please replace inconspicuously. The find should be fairly tricky but we chose this location because you would be able to search w/o much interruption and unwanted attention. We intentionally do not want to give too much away - it might be a case of national security after all!

This cache placement was made with express permission from the land owner, Mr CP Steyn.

Happy caching!
