Don't Bring Mildred And The Kids Traditional Geocache
MMBuggers: I am archiving Mildred to honor the finds already posted for this cache. At the time of their posts this was a 4.5/5 hide. Now it is more like a 4.5/2.5 due to the winter freeze and some man-made trail intervention. The Mildred cache will definitely be coming back soon to a place nearby. In the meantime I have placed a new cache with lesser difficulty here and it will remain for everybody to enjoy this neat area. Stay tuned for further developments.

Not for the faint of heart- At this time of year it will take some
serious determination to get there and find the cache. Good
luck!
A lot of names seem to work for this cache but none are better than
the one chosen. This cache is a challenge for even a physically fit
grown adult. This is a nice area that previously has not had a
cache. It is back of Vista Royale- I will say it right now- I do not
recommend parking in the complex- these people are serious about
their parking regulations and towing your car is definitely an
option for them. I parked in the old Hodges on US1(now an arcade)
to place the cache. The walk to the cache was nice path last
spring- now the last part has 5-6ft tall overgrowth. I pushed my
way out there to hide the cache and the weeds fell back into
position like I didn't even go through there. I would suggest long
pants(and shirt if you can take it, bug spray, lots of water and a
crazy caching friend if you can find one. Tools might be good but
probably won't help with the cache. I would leave the good camera
and other valuables at home- not because there aren't pic ops but
the growth seems to reach out and grab whatever you got. The cache
with paper log(BYOP)is a micro about the size of a film container.
Please do not be mad at me if you DNF on this one- it is set up as
a real challenge for those that want to take it. I think it will be
much easier in a few months after the cold knocks out some of the
growth. Maybe I can reduce the terrain listing then. Although I
can't do big banner headlines I want to say a big Congratulations
to HH for taking the challenge and being FTF. Good going
Steffy!!!!!
