this cache is near the ridge between rocky peak and haystack peak in the deep creek mountains, elevation is about 8900 feet.
i used the "Dali Rocks Trailhead" cache as a starting point for getting to the cache site. its a fairly tough hike from this side, although not too long. i was reminded of the hyena den from the Lion King while passing through here, and decided to leave a cache. its an ammo can filled with a few items found in the jeep. a couple of matchbox cars, small binoculars, a rain poncho, a waterproof matchstick container, and a log book.
