Geocache Description:


In 942,"Azabu hikawa Shrine" opened by Tsunemoto Minamotono receives an Imperial command,that Shrine moved to the place now in 1659.
There is still the pine of "Ippommatsu" of the sacred tree in the place where was approximately 200m distant.
A play and ability were held noisily in the Shinto shrine after the Edo era, and, as one company of Edo Hikawa 7 companies, it has been done veneration again as a total naval station of the hemp cloth.
In1944,this shrine met the war damage of the Tokyo blitzkrieg, but "sennkannmikoshia"and a kagura hall, the small pavilion with water and ladles escape from a disaster.
This shrwhere sine came out to "beautiful girl soldier Sailor Moon" of animated cartoon comics.

麻布氷川神社は、天慶５年(９４２年)源経基が勅命を受け、天慶の乱（平将門の乱）を平定するために東征した際、境内約２０００坪を勧請したのが始まりです。
その後、万治２年(１６５９年)に今の場所へ移転しました。神木の一本松の松の木は２００ｍほど離れた場所に今もあります。
神社では江戸時代以降も芝居や能が賑やかにとりおこなわれ、江戸氷川七社の一社として、また麻布の総鎮守府として崇敬されてきました。
昭和１９年には東京大空襲の戦災に遭遇しましたが、千貫神輿（宮神輿庫）や神楽殿、手水舎は災禍を逃れて今に至っています。ここはまた、アニメ・マンガの『美少女戦士　セーラームーン』にも出てきました。セーラーマーズこと火野レイが巫女をつとめる神社がここです。但し、作品の中では「火川神社」となっています。
