Die Millenniumseiche
Zum Millennium (Jahrtausendwechsel) wurde der Marktgemeinde Mauerbach von den österreichischen Bundesforsten ein besonderer Baum gewidmet. Es handelt sich um eine Traubeneiche von mehr als 250 Jahren, welche weithin sichtbar ist. Da es sich um ein Naturdenkmal handelt, sollte besondere Sorgfalt beim Heben des Cache selbstverständlich sein. Die Traubeneiche (lat. quercus petraea) hat einen Stammunfang von mehr als 3,5m und eine mächtige Baumkrone mit über 12m Durchmesser.

The millennium-oak
The austrian Federal Forest Administration (ÖBF) devoted this oak was to the Marktgemeinde Mauerbach at the millenium. This sessile oak is about 250 years old and nearly everywhere in Mauerbach visible. Please remember the age and natural importance when you get the cache. The sessile oak (lat. quercus petraea) has a circumference about 3,5m and a mighty crown with more than 12m diameter.
