If you visit the basin of Pivka and take a walk around, you will
see a lot of stone crosses on different places, like in the middle
of the field, at the crossings or in the middle of the village.
According to their placement we can figured out what they are
standing for. On crossings as an orientation mark, in the village
for solemn or as a plague spot. Sometimes are standing there as a
penance for the crime that has been done.
They date in different time of Pivka’s history, most between
18th and 19th century. Stone crosses also represent stonecutting
craft typical for this part of Slovenia with a lot of
limestone.

field crossing. The best way to approach the cache is from the end
of village Petelinje (suburb of Pivka) You can park at N 45°
