The series consists of caches ranging in size from Nano to Small (big enough for swaps, TBs and GCs) caches. Puff’s cache is the start of the Dragon series and is a magnetic nano, for which you will need to bring your own writing utensil to fill out the log book.
This is a set of six caches on a two and a quarter mile circular route, with a dragon theme as this part of the world has strong links with dragons. St Leonard’s Forest is named after a French monk. He had been living in the forest as a hermit and reputedly killed a dragon that had been terrorising the local villages. The caches are all just off the footpath, and none are too far from the beaten path. Parking can be found at N51 04 935, W000 14 586 (a lay by in Colgate village) or if you fancy a meal/drink in the local village pub and get permission from the owner there is a large car park at The Dragon. Beware! in places there can be mud at all times of the year and there can be extensive tree cover and GPS reception may be quite variable!
