Geocache Description:

The Challenge

Find and log a cache no one has found for more than a calendar year, making repairs if necessary.  It can be any cache you'd like, in any state, and any difficulty/terrain combination--but you cannot find a cache you've already found.  The time for which a cache has been disabled does not count toward the time needed for this challenge (we're only considering active time).  If possible, please include a picture of that cache's log with your log here; make sure it shows the last log's date and your date below it.

Caches found on or after June 1, 2009 are considered for this challenge.  This is the month I first considered this challenge.

How do you target lonely caches?  Download a pocket query for an area and use GSAK to sort the caches by the date a cache was last found.  If you are not a premium member or do not use GSAK, you may have to consider caches one-by-one.  Typically, lonely caches are older caches either located in the countryside or are more challenging puzzles or multis.

The Cache

The posted coordinates are the actual coordinates; you do not need to check the required cache through me as long as it satisfies the requirements.  The posted rating pertains to the hide and not the challenge as the cache used could range from a 1/1 to a 5/5.

The final cache, a small Lock-N-Lock, is hidden in a lonely park close to downtown Greensboro.  As far as I remember, this park has never been graced with a cache (while GCHR2H and GC1A41H were close, they weren't on this side of the road).  I hope the hide itself is simple enough.  There may be a minimal amount of poison ivy downhill during summer months, but it can be avoided easily.  For reference, the opposite side of the park is covered in poison ivy.
