Geocache Description:

The cache is located along the rocky shoreline of Port Elizabeth, also known as the "Wildside" and a small amount of rock climbing will be required.

This cache is located next to a very popular fishing spot called the "Blue Hole", but standing at the cache site, one will most definitely notice the waves breaking almost half a kilometre straight out to sea over a reef called "Suicide Reef". This reef was called so as spearfishermen sometimes make their way out to the reef from the Blue Hole and then have to swim the distance, which seems like suicide.

Looking towards the left one will see the Cape Receive light house and towards the right is Chelsea Point again. In between these two points are numerous reefs that are dived and fished over the weekends and boasts names such as Avalanche Reef, Crossroads, Gasmic Gorge, Thunderbolt Reef and Little Chelsea to name but a few. These reefs are also host to the numerous divers participating in the annual "Wildside Dive Festival" held every winter in June when Port Elizabeth has its best water visibility. So, if you have the time and the weather is good, bring a fishing rod or snorkel gear along to see what unlisted caches the ocean may hold for you.

The cache is a 450ml L&L container and some stealth may be required, especially over weekends. Depending as to when you arrive at the cache site, you might have to wade knee height through the water for a distance of about 10 meters during a very high tide.
