The Triple-D was a high powered tractor produced by Ernest Doe of
Ulting during the 50’s & 60’s, the Triple-D name was an
abbreviation of Doe Dual Power
It was created from 2 Fordson Power Major tractors that were
coupled together as an articulated unit with 2 engines and 4 wheel
drive. They could turn at 90 degrees and run on one engine if
necessary.
By the end of the 60’s with single engine tractors producing
over 100hp, the Triple-D and it’s variants was discontinued. Over
300 were built mostly for the UK but some were exported to the US
and other countries.
Today these tractors are extremely valuable.
