Billdals kyrka stod klar söndagen den 24 maj 1992 och invigdes av biskop Lars Eckerdal. Magnus Wångblad, arkitekt på Arkitekttriangeln i Trollhättan, har ansvarat för såväl interiör som exteriör. Han har inspirerats av bebyggelsen längs Säröbanan så kyrkan bär drag av nationalromantik - höga stensocklar, tjärade eller faluröda träfasader, branta tak av tegel och glasade verandor.

Korutsmyckningen är det vävda korset "Triumfen" som tidigare hängde i Billdals gamla kyrka. Korset är vävt av textilkonstnären Inga-Karin Jonsson, som inför bygget av nya kyrkan blev ombedd att komplettera med en ljus bakgrund "Livets träd". Övriga konstverk i kyrkan är bl a de två dörrarna med motiv från Billdal, som är målade av billdalskonstnären Helmut Weber.

Orgeln byggdes 1994 av Hammarbergs Orgelbyggeri AB i Göteborg. Sten Johansson ritade fasaden och intonationen gjordes av Horst Schwarz. Den har 17 stämmor och innehåller 1028 pipor.

Billdals kyrka was finished on Sunday the 24 of May in 1992 and was inaugurated by Bishop Lars Eckerdal. Magnus Wångblad was the architect on Arkitekttriangeln in Trollhättan, had the responsibility for both the exterior and interior. He was inspired by the buildings along Säröbanan so the church has streaks of national romanticism - high stone bases, steep roofs of bricks and glassed verandas.

The decoration of the cross is the woven cross “The Triumph” that previously hung in Billdals gamla kyrka. The cross is woven by textile artist Inga-Karin Jonsson, that was before the building of the new church asked to complete with a light background “The Tree of Life”. Other art pieces is among other things two doors with motives from Billdal, that are painted by the Billdal artist Helmut Weber.

The organ was built in 1994 by Hammarbergs Orgelbyggeri AB in Gothenburg. Sten Johansson designed the façade and the intonation was made by Horst Schwarz. It has 17 tunes and 1028 pipes.
