I've been casually working on SerenityNow's "Variety
is the Spice of Life Challenge" and realized that I had three
types placed myself - until I archived the one puzzle cache in this
park. I figured it would be easy for me to contribute to the cause
here so I placed another puzzle cache you can work on to help
satisfy the challenge.
This cache is NOT at the location above - which you
probably already knew if you have done any puzzle caches. The
location above will take you to the first part of the puzzle.
The sign at this location will direct you to the various points
of interest in the park. It's laid out in three sections - left,
straight, and right. From the group that has "Playground" in it,
count the number of lines in that section and multiply by 100.
Subtract 7 and you have the value "aaa".
The challenge for this location is to not stop and stare at the
sign because there are 3 cars behind you impatiently waiting to
move on.
The next clue location is at N 81 08.596 W 81 27.205 (see
waypoints below). To the east steps lead up to the soccer field. To
the south of these steps are several wooden posts. Count the total
number of posts including the one right next to the steps. This
will be value "C".
To the north of the steps is a sign that prohibits hitting
something. At the bottom of the sign is an ordinance number. The
three digits that start the ordinance number is "D".
To calculate "bbb" multiply "C" times 5 and add the value of "D"
plus 6. For example, if "C" was 7 and "D" was 305 you would
calculate: 7 x 5 => 35 + 305 => 340 + 6 => 346 (don't try
to use this number - it's not even close).
The cache is located at N 41 08.aaa W 81 27.bbb and is a
camouflaged small round Lock-n-Lock container with limited room for
small trades and travel bugs.
This can be a very busy place at times and stealth may be
required.
Make sure you rehide the cache well so non-cachers don't see
it.
This is a park area so NO NIGHT CACHING. That sign you
saw at the beginning says so!
