Geocache Description:

You are looking for a micro with no pencil. The Knight is worth 3 points in chess but has a unique advantage over other pieces in that it can hop over them making it very useful in tight corners. Not too much hopping to reach this cache though. Only one stile on route from suggested parking.

The cache can be approached from Missing Pieces - Kings Knight as a short there and back walk or as a grab and go by using the suggested parking

This cache is part of a small series that can be done individually, or as part of a series of caches in quick succession. However, you can add to your adventure by combining a few caches together and join in a little game if you have time. Best check the logs just before you leave, to get the latest position of that piece, or it might be missing when you get there!

The series when complete will consist of:

The Board
10 other caches with chess pieces inside

The game is based on chess, in this case invainagain chess. As in real chess, you win by capturing the king in a check mate. You can play black and I will play white. The rules are simple if you want to play, and the caches are all within a 3 mile radius to make it convenient.

To win:
simply move any black piece you find to the cache where the king is.

To play:
1. PLEASE don't take any pieces home with you, they are not swaps.
2. Feel free to move any piece you find to another cache in the Missing Pieces series within the same day or leave them where you found them.
3. If you take a piece and move it to another cache, log your visits, for example as, "took white knight" from first cache, then, "placed white knight in the next one. That way, all cachers can check the logs to see where the pieces are before they set out.
4. If you succeed in moving a black piece to the cache where the king is, then add "check mate" to the end of your log and I will send you a congrats message as you have beaten me.
5. I reserve the right to play for revenge. If you check mate me with the queen, I will race to the cache where the dirty deed was carried out and if I find both queen and the slain king still there together I will take the queen and put her back where she belongs!

For those of you who have never played chess before, the bishop has a hat a bit like the Pope on his head and the king wears a cross on his crown.

Have fun and enjoy the short walks to the caches.
