Geocache Description:

This cache is located at my favorite park in Downers Grove. I am quite bias because I lived on this street for the first 20 years of my life.

There is so much to do here. In the winter you can ice skate or play ice hockey day or night because there are lights that surround the entire pond. In the summer there’s a playground for the kids, you can fish, take a walk, take a nap or take a boat ride but be careful not to get wet by the fountains (also, you would need to bring your own boat).

During the school year the kids from the local high school run laps around the pond to train for upcoming meets. Almost every weekend in the summer you will see a bridal party gathered together taking pictures. When I was a kid we would setup a ramp at one end of the pond and jump our bikes into it. It was a blast until the local law enforcement would come and put an end to that. I hope you enjoy this park as much as I do.

Please watch for muggles and bring your own pencil.

You are looking for a 2" long camo'd bison tube. My parents still live in one of the houses that surrounds the pond. They will be watching for people looking for the cache, and may even stop by to say "hi" Happy hunting!

NOTE: You may find lots of green wires around GZ these are not for holding the cache. The wires are used to hold the vines to the trellis.
