Geocache Description:

It’s that time of year again ~ October ~ cool air, leaves changing, bowl of warm chili. HEY wait a minute, this is Florida and October in Florida means FFF. That’s right Food, Finds and Fellowship and right here we’re dealing with the food part. It’s time for the Chili Cookoff. I’ve got my judges lined up and I’ve been stuffin those Prize Pots all year. So go call Aunt Millie or Grandpa Jetho and get those old time chili recipes dusted off. You can cook it before getting to the camp ground or cook it once ya get there, just have it ready for the judging by 5:00pm. Winners will be announced at the end of the event at 8:00pm. And, if I have enough entries, there will be a People’s Choice Award. Please email me if you intend to have a bowl in the runnin so I can make an entry form for you and keep a head count, er, bowl count! And if you can't cook, that's Ok, you're still invited to come and taste the competition. But if YOU think you’ve got what it takes…… bring it on……we’ll be the judge of that!

Rules:

Each entrée will be assigned a number about 30 minutes before judging. Hopefully this will keep it honest and the Judges won’t know whose is whose!

Each bowl of chili will be judged on flavor, consistency, aroma, and heat (remember, not everyone likes blazing chili, but it should make ya kinda warm inside).

You may garnish your chili any way you see fit, i.e.: onions, shredded cheese, etc.

No Canned Crap Allowed!

No store bought stuff either!

No road kill or mystery meat. Gator tail is not considered mystery meat in these here parts and is allowed.

Only Chef Talking Bull will be allowed to use buffalo meat.

Scores will be tallied by yours truly and winners announced right after judging.

Let’s see, am I forgetting anything? OH YEAH…….the Geo Pinata! Yes there will be another piñata for the kids, only this year it’s packed with grown-up stuff too! But there is a twist, no grown-ups in the mosh pit! Parents of smaller children are exempt from this request. Now, I can’t help what a kid may grab for a “cheering” parent or grown-up friend. So if any grown-ups see something they just can’t live without, you better make friends real fast. I don’t want any kids run over by stampeding adults, this is for the youngsters. I just hope the piñata is strong enough to hold the weight of all that loot….may have to get a bigger stick too………
