Last year I had many of you
running "Amuck in Ashburn". Based on your positive responses to the
event, you have only yourselves to blame, I have decided to have a
second Lion Heart Hunt. This time we will be Manassas, an area rich
in Civil War history. Because of this, the hunt itself will have a
Civil War theme. Please remember to log "that you will attend" in
order that I can get an accurate count of participants. So without
further ado:
THE ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
1.Show up on August 16th at the event coordinates. (Rain Date
will be August 22nd)
2. Dig up some people to hunt with you -- family members or
friends
-- and head to Manassas.
3. Show up at the listed coordinates starting at 8:30 a.m. to
sign
up your team. The hunt will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
4. Visit each puzzle location in any order you wish. Remember,
the
solutions to each will be a number. Each number will correspond
to
the number of one of the clues on the clue page. The six clues
will
be essential to solving the final stage of the hunt.
5. Gather back at the original coordinates at 11:30 a.m. The
final
clue will be announced. Use the final clue, along with the
six
clues you already have, to figure out what you need to do to
win.
6. After the final clue is announced, either solve the hunt,
or
decide that you can't solve it and relax around the event
area
until we present the hunt winners and all the solutions.
Congratulations to our winners at this year event. Hopefully,
everyone was a winner by having fun with their fellow
geocachers.
