My OS map shows this trig being bang-smack on the Sussex-Surrey
boundary. The trig is in woodland and not far from the Downs Link
bridleway.
To the west of the trig is the site of an early Norman castle
mound where archeologists have unearthed green glaze pottery, many
fragments of red floor tiles, and a considerable amount of
charcoal. The mound is now covered with bracken and planted with
hazel and birch.
To find the cache first visit the trig point. The number on the
flush bracket is SABCD
