Sussex Trig Points #14 - Broomhall Copse Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

lost!: I checked on this today. The micro was still where it should be and surrounded by bluebells. However I couldn't find the final cache, so I have decided to archive this one as it is quite a long way from home for me to maintain. Thanks to all who visited, successful or otherwise!

Geocache Description:

A series based on trig points in Sussex. You can also log your trig find at trigpointinguk.com where you will find a plethora of information and statistics about trigs.

My OS map shows this trig being bang-smack on the Sussex-Surrey boundary. The trig is in woodland and not far from the Downs Link bridleway.

To the west of the trig is the site of an early Norman castle mound where archeologists have unearthed green glaze pottery, many fragments of red floor tiles, and a considerable amount of charcoal. The mound is now covered with bracken and planted with hazel and birch.

To find the cache first visit the trig point. The number on the flush bracket is SABCD

A micro containing the final coordinates is hidden at N 51.05.(A+3)A(B+5) W 000 27.A(C+7)(D+5)

The final cache is a small clip-box hidden in a location I hope you find interesting.
