Geocache Description:

Dare you trust me enough to take another Diabolical Journey through the night?
This is a Night Only cache.

Since Now *This* is Diabolical is challenging cachers from far and wide to step out of their element and brave the hills above Carson City - follow me as I now lead you up the mountain and into a new level of Darkness.

Just like the original, the coordinates will lead you to the parking area. It is up to you to discover the stage and the means to find the next one. And just like the original, there is a special light you need to complete this.

Good luck....for I will warn you, I began placing this in July and it seemed that everytime I went up, weird unexplainable things happened. Even I will not go up there alone in the dark any more.

Stage 1



I would like to thank both nelson crew and CHRISNSCOTT from Spokane who gave me the inspiration for this stage. However, while they introduced me to a new method, the means to get you there has been in my mind since a late night bored stroll through Wal-Mart.

Amazing where you can find evil in these times...

A note: All necessary tool(s) are provided. There is no need to remove or dismantle anything. This has a trick to it and the normal method will not work. Use the hint before you get frustrated.

Stage 2



For this one, I'd like to thank Puzzleman for the inspiration. He played a trick on us during an FTF hunt. I told him I'd get back at him eventually.

Also, I had an original idea that was going to be fantastic! Use lizards to guide you to the cache. However, the day after placing them, one went missing. Soon after, a second went missing. Weird happening #1 - blame a bird if you like, the stage has been changed though.

I altered this a bit to a) makes the guides easier to see and b) reduces the chance of them accidentally being disturbed. These guides are just leading you, no need to examjne them closely.

Stage 3



I scoured the 'Net looking for wickedness. And I met bitbrain through my search. He was kind enough to reveal a trick on his. I twisted that and now you have the result. Also, I abused poor Puzzleman's construction skills to build me a box. Enjoy.

WARNING: This one will be impossible in snow!

Here, too, I had things odd happen. As we were placing bitbrain's method, we saw a flash. Our confusion lasted one mere second, before Thunder blasted the air around us apart. A bolt from nowhere only a quarter mile away. I returned, much later, to find the body of a bird beneath my marker. Ignore the feathers as you begin your search...

Stage 4



Stage 3 coordinates are for the cache, no parking coords for the final. I had to move the final, due to the fire, so you do not have to travel far. However, it took a month to figure out the ultimate deviousness. The true twist of evil. A totally Diabolical ending to this journey. In this one, blame my father for the container and me for the location.

But the weirdness did not end. We placed it, but needed dark, then came back and smelled a skunk. Returning the next evening, my container was open, but undisturbed. I put it back the way it was supposed to be, though my original idea required some tweaking. On the walk back to the truck, there was a noise. We became silent, and for lack of any better description, the hills around us began to scream...
