Welcome to Project Smiley - A series of caches dedicated to the fun side of Geocaching. I will provide the eyes, nose and mouth,and visitors are encouraged to complete the outside circle using the containers and instructions in the 'Keimzelle' seed cache - This will result in a smiley nearly 3km wide, similar to the following:

Der Offset des Finals zu den gepublishten Koordinaten ist 551.5m und 92°. Achte auf Muggels wenn Du den Cachebehälter rausziehst. Ich empfehle, ihn mit um die Ecke zu nehmen.
Der Cachedeckel ist absichtlich etwas straff, um das Wasser draußen zu halten, so daß Du beide Daumen brauchst, um ihn aufzudrücken. Neben einem normalen Logbuch enthält der 10cm dicke, aber 1m lange Behälter vorbereitete Micros und Logbücher mit dem Project Smiley Logo. Bitte paß auf, daß nicht alle vorbereiteten Cachebehälter rausfallen.
Dieser Cache ist als geeignet für Behinderte markiert. Der Zugang geht leicht bergauf und die letzten paar Meter gehen über Gras (normalerweise kurz), aber dieser Cache sollte trotzdem erreichbar sein. Abhängig davon, wie mobil Du bist, könntest Du Hilfe beim Rausziehen des Cachebehälters benötigen (ein 1m-Stock mit einem kleinen Haken am Ende könnte helfen).
This "Keimzelle" is intended for YOU to play your part in completing Project Smiley and have your name added to the "Hall of Fame". For this reason, it simply ensures you know how to use your GPS but is easy to find:
The offset of the final from the published coords is 551.5m and 92°. Watch out for muggles when extracting the cache container. I suggest you take it round the corner with you.
The cache lid is deliberately a bit stiff to keep water out so you will need both thumbs to prise it off. As well as a conventional log book, the 10cm wide but 1m long container holds prepared micro cache containers and log books with the Project Smiley Logo. Please be careful not to empty all the prepared caches onto the ground!
This cache is marked as suitable for the disabled. The access is slightly uphill and the last few meters go across grass (normally short) but this cache should be reachable. Depending on how mobile you are you may need assistance extracting the cache container (a 1m stick with a small hook on the end would help).

Die Regeln der Keimzelle
(1) Nimm einen oder mehrere vorbereitete Behälter und ein Logbuch und lege einen Cache mit den PUBLISH-KOORDINATEN 1350m entfernt vom Mittelpunkt bei N48° 38.970 E8° 46.560
*** DIESER MITTELPUNKT UND DER ABSTAND SIND WICHTIG UM DEN KREIS RUND ZU MACHEN. BITTE LEGE PUNTKE AUSSCHLIESSLICH AUF DEN KREIS *** Die äußeren Ring-Caches auf dem Bild sind nur Beispiele. Du kannst einen Cache irgendwo auf den Kreis legen, wo Platz ist.
(2) Dein Cache kann folgendes sein:
o Tradi ... Publish-Koordinaten direkt auf dem Kreis, wenn möglich. Maximal 50m abseits.
o Multi ... Publish-Koordinaten direkt auf dem Kreis. Final irgendwo >100m entfernt vom Kreis. Gerne darfst Du weitere Behälter entnehmen, um Stages zu legen.
o Mystery ... Publish-Koordinaten direkt auf dem Kreis. Final irgendwo >100m entfernt vom Kreis.
Bemerkung: Mysteries: Bitte versuche Publish-Koordinaten zu verwenden, da wo Finals nicht möglich sind (z.B. Feldmitte). Mysteries sollten idealerweise ihre Publish-Koordinaten mindestens 160m entfernt von irgendwelchen Wegen haben, um mögliche Konflikte mit Tradis oder Multis zu reduzieren. Dies ist KEINE fest Regel - nur eine Empfehlung.
(3) Project Smiley soll eine Sammlung von Qualitätscaches sein... Bitte lege KEINE Caches mit Difficulty 1 oder Terrain 1. Es gibt bereits zu viele davon und wenige davon sind wirklich D1 T1. Meine Definition: D1 = offensichtlich ein paar Meter entfernt; T1 = OK für Büroschuhe, auch wenns nass ist.
(4) Versuche die Cache so zeckenfrei wie möglich zu machen. Es ist nicht immer vermeidbar, aber es nimmt den Leuten den Spaß.
(5) Finals sollten nicht mehr als 2.5km vom äußeren Ring entfernt liegen.
(6) Cachenamen sollten die Form "Project Smiley - [NAME]" haben.
(7) Die Jäger in dieser Gegend sind sehr aktiv. Ärgere sie nicht, indem Du Caches abseits vom Weg legst. Nachtcaches sollten auf den Pfaden oder befahrbaren Wegen bleiben und möglichst nahe am Ort (Gültlingen) bleiben.
Laß mich wissen, falls Du einen Project Smiley-Aufkleber für Deinen eigenen größeren Behälter brauchst. Sende mir die Maße des Aufklebers zusammen mit dem Cachenamen und dem offiziellen GCxxxxx-Code, und ich sende Dir ein Bild zum Ausdrucken.

Keimzelle Rules
(1) Take one or more prepared containers & a log book and create a cache with PUBLISHED COORDINATES 1350m from the centre point at N48° 38.970 E8° 46.560
*** THE CENTRE POINT AND DISTANCE ARE ESSENTIAL TO MAKE THE CIRCLE ROUND. PLEASE ONLY PUBLISH POINTS ON THE CIRCLE *** The outside ring caches shown in the picture are only examples. You can place a cache anywhere on the circle where there is space.
(2) Your caches can be one of the following:
o Tradi ... Published coords directly on the circle if possible. Max 50m off.
o Multi ... Published coords directly on the circle. Final anywhere >100m from the circle. Feel free to take extra containers to create stages,
o Mystery ... Published coords directly on the circle. Final anywhere >100m from the circle.
Note: For mysteries please try to publish coordinates where finals are not suitable (e.g. middle of fields). Mysteries should *ideally* have published coords at least 160m away from any paths, to reduce the chance of blocking a valid Tradi or Multi. This is NOT a fixed rule - just a recommendation.
(3) Project smiley is intended to be a collection of QUALITY caches ... Please do NOT create any difficulty 1 or terrain 1 caches. There are already far too many of these and few of them are truly D1 T1. My definition: D1=Obvious a few meters away; T1=OK for office shoes, even if wet.
(4) Try to make the caches as tick-free as possible. It is not always avoidable but takes away the fun for many people.
(5) Finals should not be more than 2.5km from the outer smiley ring.
(6) Cache names should be of the form "Project Smiley - [NAME]"
(7) The hunters in this area are very active. Do not annoy them by placing caches away from paths. Night caches should follow roads or drivable tracks and preferably stay close to the village.
