IAMMMMW - Spencer Tracy Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

the Druids: Pretty good 6 1/2 year run but between the local gardeners and muggles, it's been difficult to keep this one active so we're letting it go. If you haven't seen this movie, you should! It's a classic!!

Geocache Description:

Joshua Tree Bonnie & Clyde have a series of It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World caches in and around communities in the Coachella Valley. Their caches are placed at various locations where the 1963 movie was actually filmed in the desert and filming also occurred here in Long Beach (City of Santa Rosita in the movie). Kind of fun to think that you are standing right where the original actors were when they were filming.

There is a scene late in the movie when Spencer Tracy (Santa Rosita police chief) is trying to make off with the treasure and is being chased by everyone else. Tracy drives North on Linden after driving around Rainbow Pier (long gone) then heads East on Ocean Blvd. towards the Villa Riviera (Long Beach’s finest building, then and now).
The cache is located downstreet from the Southwest corner of the Linden/Ocean intersection. Container is black film container at ground level under natural camo. Metered parking is available nearby. Log only, bring your own writing instrument. No room for stuff. As always, use stealth!!
