Geocache Description:

This is a small cache placed in an interesting point of interest in Albuquerque. It has ample parking and is kid friendly. Make sure to stop by and visit the museum.

This cache is placed in honor of Nako Taco Patrol's "Century on Century" cache that had to be deactivated. This is the actual cache with original logbook.

While on my first trip to LA to attend my residency for my dissertation for Walden University, I decided to go caching on my dinner break like any good cacher. "Century on Century" was located in my hotel parking lot in a newspaper-vending box. I found it and then went on to find the additional three caches located near the hotel. It was a nice day to do caching and I even experienced plans landing over my head at LAX. On my way back to the hotel I discovered the entire area shut down by the LAPD and bomb squad. As soon as I saw this I realized in the back of my mind what had happened. I asked some bystanders what was going on and they told me it was a bomb scare. I approached the police to explain what was going on, but they saw me coming (apparently the lady who called it in described me really well). I was immediately detained (handcuffed even), interviewed (left my ID in the hotel room), and fined 10K due to a false bomb scare (I have to pay for the bomb squad; however my attorney is handling it).

I have decided to honor this once-in-a-lifetime experience by rehiding this little cache back home in Albuquerque. I am dedicating it to Naco Taco Patrol, the LAPD bomb squad, and Officer Wyke.

Lesson learned: BEWARE CACHES NEAR IMPORTANT PLACES (aka LAX)!!

I certainly will not forget this caching expedition.

I am sure that your experience finding the cache will be considerably less exciting.
