Die Ruppenbergfalte
Es wird eng
Während des Unterdevons ( vor 417 -
392 Mio. Jahren ) lagern sich in einem Meeresbecken
des GroßKonitnents "Laurussia" Sande und Tone ab.
10 Mio Jahre später im Mitteldevon bilden sich Riffe und
Ablagerungen von Kalk, die bis heute
westl. von Schuld , im Bereich der Eifelkalkmulden, erhalten
geblieben sind.
Zeitgleich näherte sich durch plattentektonischen Bewegungen aus
südlicher Richtung
der KleinKontinent "Amorica" und der GroßKontinent " Godwana" ,
bestehend aus dem heutigen Afrika,Indien,Südamerika,Australien und
Antarktis !
Die ozeanische Kruste wird subduziert, d.h. sie wird unter die
südl. Kontinente geschoben.
Aus der späteren Kollision entsteht der GroßKontinent "Pangea" und
das variszische Gebirge entsteht .
Noch heute ist diese "bedeutende Stelle" in Schuld sichtbar
geblieben! Den besten Blick hat man von der Brücke aus !

It get´s cramped
While the time of "Unterdevon" ( 417 - 392 Mio. years BC )
sediments a lot of sand and clay in this bay of the BigContinent "
Laurussia".
10 Mio years later, reefs and lime accumulations got formed, which
are archieved west of Schuld.
Simultaneous the SmallKontinent "Amorica" and the BigContinent
"Godwana" advance together,through tectonically movements.
"Godwana" consists of the today´s Africa, SouthAmerica, India,
Australia and Antarctic.
The oceanic deposit get moved beneath the southerly
continents.
From the future collision, the BigContinent "Pangea" and the
"variszische Gebirge" emerge.
Still today is this "important place" visible in Schuld. The best
place to this view is the bridge over the Ahr River.
