This cache is located in a very scenic part of the Pecos wilderness in the area of a nearly pristine alpine lake, fields of tundra, and high peaks. I suggest if you have energy and air after finding this cache continue up to the crest above. Finding trailhead, from Mora head North on NM 518 for 13.9 miles to the junction. Follow FR 161 4.5 miles to its end at the trailhead. From Taos take NM 518 29.4 miles to junction with FR 161.
This is basically a sign log only cache, however it will hold a few small items. I started it with a very small T.B. that I picked up at another alpine lake.
