Summary |
Der Botanische Garten der Universität Freiburg ist nicht nur für
die Biologen interessant. Er ist auch ein attraktiver öffentlich
zugänglicher Park, in dem es viel zu entdecken gibt - durchaus auch
für Kinder. Der Cache soll dabei vor allem ein Anreiz zum Herkommen
sein und einen kleinen Einstieg bieten. Er ist deshalb relativ kurz
angelegt und mit möglichst überschaubaren Aufgaben versehen.
Anstatt mit gesenktem Blick über Papier oder Bildschirme gebeugt
durch den Garten zu hetzen, nehmt Euch lieber Zeit, schaut nach
oben und seht, riecht, fühlt und hört! Verwöhnt Eure
Sinne.

The Botanic Garden of the University of Freiburg does not only
please biologists. It is an attractive park open to the public and
features lots of exciting spots - also for children. The cache is
designed to draw attention to it and to give an idea what can be
experienced here. For this reasons, it is deliberately short and
provided with rather simple tasks. Instead of rushing through head
bent over and gazing at papers or screens, take some time, look up
and see, smell, feel and hear! Spoil your senses.

Die Reihenfolge der Stationen ist egal, aber die Wegbeschreibung
bezieht sich darauf. Mit ein wenig Nachdenken können einzelne
Stationen ganz ausgelassen werden, aber so ist es natürlich
nicht gedacht. |
The stages can be visited in any order, but the directions in the
text refer to the given sequence. With little combining, single
stages can be left out entirely, but that's not the idea. |

built in a specific month of 2007. Which number (c) relates to this
month? The sign is in German, but don't let this discourage you. It
is the word directly preceding the year and very similar to

weiteren Häuschen. An

Häuschen gleich rechts befindet sich ein Baumstumpf, der wie ein
Stuhl zurechtgeschnitten ist. Nicht nur im Sommer werden hier gerne
Kinderfotos geschossen (für Erwachsene könnte es eng werden). Folgt
man dem Weg noch ein paar Meter weiter, steht an der Ecke der
Rasenfläche ein einzelner Baum. Auf dem Stuhl sitzend sieht man ihn
direkt an. In der linken unteren Ecke seines Schildchens steht der
Name eines Landes. Der alphanumerische Wert von dessen
Anfangsbuchstaben ist (e). |

Immediately
right beyond the small house is a tree trunk, which has been cut
and shaped similar to a chair. Not only in summer it is a popular
spot for pictures of children (it might be a bit tight for adults).
Further following the path for a few meters, a single tree stands
on the corner of the lawn. Sitting in the chair you look directly
at it. In the lower left corner of its sign is the name of a
country. The alphanumeric value of its first letter is

sehenswerten Rundbau? Ungeachtet des Schilds an der Tür ("Zutritt
nur für Studenten und Mitarbeiter") sind Besucher der im Erdgeschoß
ausgestellten Sammlung von Skeletten, ausgestopften Tieren u.ä.im
Gebäude willkommen. Der Eintritt ist frei und es gibt eine
Automaten-Cafeteria. |

(opening) time allows it, how about visiting the amazing collection
of the Institute of Zoology in the nearby and barely less amazing
rotunda? Albeit a small sign on the doors restricts access to
students and staff, visitors are welcome to the collection of
skeletons, preserved specimens and the like that is on display on
the ground floor. Admission is free and there is an automated
cafeteria. |
