Geocache Description:

In the mountains around Heidelberg, many small quarries have been dug into the Sandstone of the Odenwald. Many of these quarries have been given up when operation wasn't financially feasible anymore. But in the last months strange rumors started to spread in Heidelberg. Could it be that the workers have overlooked a material worth much more than all the sandstone? Could it be... gold!?

Required equipment:

1. A strong flashlight
2. Good hiking boots
3. Durable clothing

Go near the given coordinates, then have a close look at the quarry. Can you see the glittering of a rich gold vein to guide you?

Not far from the cache you can find a great lookout point, see the waypoints below – a photo in your log would be greatly appreciated.

If you use your common sense, this cache is quite harmless. If you behave stupidly on the other hand it could be quite deadly. So please read the following important advice:

Do not try to get to the cache from the north. That would be rather unhealthy.

Stay on roads and other safe terrain (T2) until after you have safely located the gold. Then look for the best route to get there (T4). Then go there.

Always keep in mind that the terrain might have changed between my placing of the cache and your visit. Stay attentive.

I do not recommend climbing higher than necessary for the cache. There are some rocks there that don't look too trustworthy.
