Geocache Description:

A simple off-set cache near a striking memorial to 158 Squadron at the former RAF Lisset base.

This striking and unusual memorial bears witness to the 851 men lost from 158 Squadron during World War II. The monument was erected by the wind farm owners and won the 2010 Marsh Award for Excellence in Public Sculpture. Each of the wind turbines is named after an aircraft that flew from RAF Lissett.
There is a book of remembrance in the memorial stone and the site is well worth a visit and a few moments peaceful reflection.

At night, it is quite eerie to see the men in this monument appear in the headlights.

More information on 158 squadron and the monument can be found at (visit link)

The cache is at:
N 54Deg 00.6(a+b) c W 000 Deg 15.5 (a+b+d) (ax2)

where:
a = number of names on the bottom line on the central set of figures (facing you as you go up the slope)
b = number of names on the bottom line on the right hand set of figures (facing you as you go up the slope)
c = Number of links in the chain behind the men
d = Number of names on the top line of names on the central set of figures

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Just-us-Two know first at justustwo1013@gmail.com so they can keep track of the memorial numbers and names to avoid any duplication.
