Guilsfield Brook - Naughty Nano Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Andalusite: This cache has been missing for some time and as the owner has not repaired/replaced it, I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Geocache Description:

More a Nano than a Micro, I'm afraid.

The cache is on a footpath which can take you to the Gaer Fawr conservation area. This is a 2000 year old hill fort set in ancient woodland over looking the River Severn and the broad plain of Shropshire. This site is well worth a visit. The caches should not take you very long but give yourself plenty of time to follow the footpath to the Fort. Alternatively you can follow the path up to Trawscoed Hen Farm, part of which is occupied and a large part of which is still in ruins following a fire about a century ago. You can make this a circular walk and end up back at my Guilsfield Brook - Scout's Bridge Cache
