The cache is NOT located at the listed coordinates. Nor is it located within the I-485 right of way. You must retrieve the correct numbers by solving the clues below.
The coordinates above will bring you to a parking area within Crown Memorial Park, a cemetary near Pineville, NC. And more specifically, to the Garden of Honor section, which is reserved for those who have served our country in the military or emergency services. There is a wonderful statue of a bugle boy here with a plaque commemorating those who gave their lives on 9/11. Take a moment to pay your respects to those interred here and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our great nation!
Solve the following clues to get the final coordinates:
A = "Be Cool" - Which day of the month did he die?
B = Under ____ & Key; What month did Edna pass away?
C = SPC Christopher Hill (US Army) gave his life for his country in Iraq in 2004. What was his age at the time? Then subtract 22.
D = "The Jerry" was born in this year; minus 1947.
E = Doodles & Little Dolly's "Pop Pop" was born in this year; minus 1925.
F = Visit the Bugle Boy statue to find the missing number(s): __/27/02
Final coordinates are:
N 35 06.ABC W 80 53.DEF
Cache is NOT located on Cemetary property, but is less than 1/2 mile drive away. You do NOT need to cross the fence to find the cache.
Check Sum: A+B+C+D+E+F=19
Container is a normal sized Lock-and-Lock box. FTF gets a cutting-edge prize!!!
If you come during the evening rush (generally 4-7 PM), you'll appreciate the fact that you are on this road and not the one below!! So enjoy this little-known "cut through" and the GARDEN OF HONOR!
