In Elizabeth Park in Zell am See is a collection of various rocks of the region.
On each stone you can find the appropriate number and type where you can see origins, age and origin.
Additional Information panels give more information about the origins, age and origin.
Prior to the upfolding of the the Alps the origin stones had been changed to the current stones under high pressure and temperature (Metamorphose).
During the following up folding the cetral gneiss core had been carried up through the beyond reclined stonepackages of the shale cover.

Im Elisabethpark in Zell am See befindet sich eine Sammlung von verschiedenen Steinen der Region.
An jedem Stein findest du die entsprechende Nummer und den Typ wodurch die Entstehung, Alter und die Herkunft ersichtlich ist.
Zusätzliche Informationstafeln geben weitere Auskünfte über die Entstehung, Alter und die Herkunft.
Vor der Auffaltung der Alpen wurden die Ausgangsgesteine bei hohen Temperaturen und hohen Drücken in die heute vorliegenden Steine umgewandelt (Metamorphose).
Während der darauf folgenden Auffaltung wurde der Zentralgneiskern durch die darüber liegenden Gesteinspakete der Hülle hindurch herausgehoben.
