Geocache Description:

A simple offset multi-cache to take you on a brief tour of Bisley Green.

Bisley has been our home for about nine years now and we love how the green and the nearby sports field are used for all sorts of events throughout the year, with the village Strawberry Fayre at the end of June, Bertie's Bisley Bash (a gig for local bands) in July, and the Scouts' huge bonfire and fireworks event, not to mention cricket matches and the occasional circus. The ponds are especially delightful and you will always find someone reading, feeding the ducks, or just relaxing in the sun.

The published coordinates are for a free car park. Head for the green and find a time capsule which should be opened in ABCD and a war memorial where there are 22 names remembered; EF died in WW1 and G died in WW2.

Now go to

N 51 19.(G-A)(A+C+E)(F-B)
W 000 38.(D-C)(E+G)(C+E+F)

where you will meet a Bisley man and local village historian who was born in HIJK.

The cache is hidden at

N 51 19.(D+J)(E+G-K)(I-G)
W 000 38.(C+H)(D+E+J)(F+G-J)

which you can now go to directly, or you can carry along Church Lane to visit the pond on the green. Either way, there will be ducks!

Please take care when crossing the A322 as it's a busy road. There are two pedestrian crossings; one by the Hen & Chickens pub (good beer) and one about half way between the green and the sports field.

The cache is a small camouflaged plastic container.
