Geocache Description:

SHORT DESCRIPTION:
A simple off-set cache. (Only 1 stage.) You are looking for a small container. Stealth required. Difficulty rating due to muggles.
To find cache: Get to the space between the 'Crown of Thorns’and the Alien skull. Walk four pier piles North and you will find this poor cache underfoot!(NOT safe to swim in this location.) (There is also a back-up cache as the main often goes missing. Try 3 posts to the West. Clue: It's unlikely to get salty.)

LONG DESCRIPTION:
The West Pier is 1 of only 2 Grade 1 listed piers in the UK. Built in 1866 by Eugenius Birch, it subsequently suffered a number of fires on different occasions. The pier has been closed since 1975 and has had its fair share of incidents – even once being hit by a RAF Hawker Typhoon!

There continue to be plans to renovate this location and so it may once again rise from the ashes. You can find more information here… (visit link)

Stealth is required as this is a very busy location. The area behind the pier is used by a variety of interesting market stalls and attracts many muggles. (The difficulty rating reflects this. It is NOT safe to swim in this location.)

So – to the cache:
You are looking for a small container. From the location coordinates you can see a figure wearing a ‘crown of thorns’. Get to the space between the 'Crown of Thorns’and the Alien skull (formerly a cyberman). Walk four pier piles North and you will find this poor cache underfoot!

There is only room for a log book, pencil and small swaps in this cache.

(There is also a back-up cache as the main often goes missing. Try 3 posts to the West. Clue: It's unlikely to get salty.)
