This lovely church was built in 1845 thanks to the generosity of
Mrs. Mary Gee of Colne House, Earls Colne, who met most of the
cost. She used the same architect that she had used a few years
earlier to build Holy Trinity Church in Halstead, which she also
paid for.
The most striking feature of this church is the very elegant,
slender spire which can be seen from miles around.
The cache is a small green screw-top container about the size of
a 35mm film can. Please replace as found.
