This is a small roadside cache
35mm film container with no space for trade items. From the area
surrounding the cache you have a great view of the B J Vorster
tower (Telkom). This tower is a well known landmark in Pretoria and
can be seen from all directions if you drive to Pretoria. The tower
is used to spread Telkom's communication via radio links and
Microwave links to surrounding towers.
Notice the Soccer ball that
is being constructed between the two larger sections of the
tower.
Telkom hou die WB-bal aan die rol Die
Telkom-toring in Lukasrand, Pretoria, is reeds getooi vir volgende
jaar se Wêreldbeker-sokkertoernooi in Suid-Afrika. Telkom is een
van die toernooi se borge. Die bal weeg 50 ton en is agt
verdiepings hoog. Ligte wat die bal saans sal verlig, sal later
