Ezzel a ládával a tatai várat és az Öreg-tavat szeretném bemutatni nektek, amely 70 km-re található Budapesttől.
A város fő látványossága a tatai vár. Röviden a történetéről:
A várat Luxemburgi Zsigmond építtette 1397 és 1409 között, a Lackfi család erődje helyén. Luxemburgi Zsigmond a vár elzálogosítására kényszerült 1426-ban és csak 1467-ben váltotta Mátyás király azt vissza. Sokat foglalkozott a várral, még egy új emeletet is építtetett hozzá.
1526 után, a török időszak elején fontos védelmi vonal volt Győr előtt. Ekkor kezdték megépíteni a várfalat és a rondellát. Azonban a törökök mégis elfoglalták 1558-ban, de csak 1566-ig tudták megtartani. 1683-ban a török felrobbantotta a várat, miközben Bécs ostromára vonult. Ezt követően lépett érvénybe I. Lipót várrombolási rendelete (1702), de ezt a Rákóczi-szabadságharc megakadályozta.
1727-től az Esterházy család tulajdona lett a vár, akik továbbépítették azt. Mai napig használatos a felvonóhíd, amit 1755-ben építettek. A vár 1945-ig az Esterházy család tulajdonát képezte.

Let me invite you all to a nice town in Hungary. The location is Tata, 70 kms from Budapest.
The main sight of the town is the castle. Brief history:
The castle was built by Sigismund of Luxembourg between 1397 & 1409 on the suspected place of the former fortress of the Lackfi family. Zsigmond was forced to mortgage the castle in 1426, and only King Matthias - who took care of the castle and even has a new floor built - could reclaim it in 1467.
From 1526, at the beginning of the Turkish times, Tata was an important reserve fort on the way to Győr. The walls and the bastion were added around this time. However, the Turks conquered the castle in 1558, but they lost the control over it in 1566. While the Turks were marching to conquer Vienna in 1683, they blew up the castle. Soon a decree was issued by Leopold I in 1702 to destroy the castle. Fortunately it was prevented from demolition by the Independence war driven by Rákóczi Ferenc.
From 1727 the castle became the property of Esterházy family, who continued the building of the castle. The drawbridge is used to today although it was built in 1755. The castle remained to be property of Esterházy family until 1945.
