Old Dean Common Traditional Geocache
happyteg: Hi Due to the land being cleared, the cache has become too obvious and cant be hidden so easily. In view of this I would like to remove it.
It needs renewing anyway, but hopefully I will re-position it shortly in a more suitable place.

Approximation 1/2 a mile from The Radio Mast on Old Dean Common.This is an unspoilt area and wonderful for dog walking and for riding bikes. I hope that the cache is suitable for children to find. The walk is very pleasant along good tracks until the approximate location is found. The best place to park is on the road at the end of Bracknell Road Old Dean Estate Camberley GU15 4BG
The Cache is a sandwich box with Blue clips and the contents have really been aimed at children. The cache is approximately 40 yards from the track.
Could you please ensure that you hide the cache again, as the Common is used for Army training, although you have rights of access at all times.
You can go as far The Lookout in Bracknel, but need a cylcle permit once you enter Crown Land. (The location of this Cache does not require a permit)
Old Dean and Bagshot Commons are wonderful heathland areas with many rare birds, heather and fungi. It was the haunt of the notorious highwayman, The Jolly Farmer, who was eventually caught and hanged!
