Geocache Description:

While out in Harms Woods one day, I was searching for a cache. A PaP BDay Cache to be precise. Anyway, I was walking down the path when my GPS suddenly lost it's signal. I knew I was really close to the cache, so I just figured I would "geosense" my way to the cache. I came to a big tree and looked around. What do I see on the ground? A 35mm film canister!

"Ah, the cache" I tell myself. Nope, the cache was not in there. What was in there was a really interesting story told by a confused unknown woman. Unhappy in her marriage, and unhappy in her affair with a man named "Pete". Her and Pete apparently shared notes with each other through this 35mm canister and hid it in a knot hole within a tree in Harms Woods. They would meet once a week for lunch and sex.

The note is from 2007, so we can only assume they broke up. I am also assuming that in the 2 years since it was written, weather had removed the 35mm canister from it's knot hole and put it on the ground. Who really knows if this was the tree, water could have carried this thing in it's 2 years out in Harms Woods.

Inside this cache is the original letter I found, along with a type written version of it for you to read (she didn't have the best handwriting). I urge you to sit down and read the short letter. It is a real interesting read from a woman sorting through her feelings. I hope she has found some sense of peace.

As a postscript to this story, my GPS finally kicked back in and I realized I was still about 100 feet from the cache. If my GPS never went out, I never would have found this sad letter. Weird (and yes, if your curious, I did find the intended cache).
