A cache encontra-se fora das ruínas , para que nada seja destruído.
A Vila Romana de Parreitas está localizada ao sul da antiga Lagoa da Pederneira, zona com terras de grande fertilidade. Neste local existem cerca de 15 salas de uma enorme mansão. Esta vila foi ocupada a partir do século I ao século IV. Os objectos encontrados durante as escavações desta vila estão expostos no Centro de Documentação e Informação de Parreitas, localizado na aldeia próxima do Bairro e que reflectem a vida de uma população agrícola e de pesca.

Roman Villa of Parreitas
N:39º34,508 W:009º01,517 The cache is outside the ruins, so that nothing is destroyed.
The Roman Villa of Parreitas is located to the south of the old Lagoon of the Pederneira, in very abundant lands of enormous fertility . There are about 15 rooms of an enormous mansion. The Villa was constituted by the proprieter´s house and the rustic part where the agricultural exploration was developed.
This villa was occupied from the I century to the IV century.
The objects found during the excavation of this villa are exposed in the Documentation and Information Center of Parreitas located in the nearby village of Bárrio and they reflect the life of an agricultural and fishing population because in ancient times the sea use to come right to the beginning of the hill.
