Tibet je historické území ve strední
Asii. Z velké cásti se rozkládá Tibetské náhorní plošine a je
nazýván "strechou sveta". Na tibetsko-nepálské hranici leží
nejvyšší hora sveta Mount Everest (8 848 m. n. m.). Tradicním
etnikem Tibetu jsou Tibetané hovorící tibetským jazykem. V
minulosti býval Tibet nezávislým královstvím. V roce 1959 byl Tibet
násilne obsazen armádou Cínské lidové republiky. 10. brezna 1959
bylo v hlavním meste Tibetu, Lhase, zavraždeno 80 000 Tibetanu.
Behem takzvané "kulturní revoluce" bylo v Tibetu zniceno na 6 000
buddhistických klášteru, zbylo jich pouze 6.
Historický Tibet se skládal ze trí provincií Amdo, Kham a Ü-Cang
a mel rozlohu okolo 2,5 milionu km².

Tibet is a historical region in the
Central Asia. Its major part is situated at the Tibetan Plateau and
thus it is nicknamed "Roof of the World". Mount Everest, the
highest mountain on Earth (8,848 metres above the sea level), is
situated at the Tibet-Nepal border. The people of Tibet speak their
traditional Tibetan language. Tibet was an independent kingdom in
the past. In 1959 it was invaded by the army of the People´s
Republic of China. 80,000 Tibetan people were killed on 10 March
1959 in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. The subsequent "cultural
revolution" resulted in liquidation of 6,000 buddhist temples.
There are only 6 of them now.
Historically, Tibet consists of three provinces: Amdo, Kham and
Ü-Cang. Its area was 2.5 million square kilometers.

V Ceské republice se problematice pomoci Tibetu venuje celá rada
organizací. Mezi nejznámejší patrí obcanské sdružení
M.O.S.T., pres které se mužete stát kmotrem malého
buddhistického mnicha v indickém kraji Ladak a prispet tak k
udržování tibetské kulturní tradice (bližší informace na

Support to Tibet in the Czech Republic
There are various organizations in the Czech Republic dealing
with the aid to Tibet. One of the key ones is civic society
M.O.S.T. through which you may become a godparent of a young
buddhism monk in Ladakh, India. Thus, you may participate in
maintenance of the Tibetan cultural tradition (for detailed

nestydte se použít nápovedu. Dávejte pozor, aby se nepoškodil
magnet na keši.

Finding the cache

often welcome Tibetan delegations coming to Prague. The GPS might
be a problem in the area of the cache, so do not hesitate to use
the hint. Make sure you do not destroy the
magnet.
