Geocache Description:

This is a three stage and one final night cache which is not for the faint hearted......

High Voltage, wild beasts, spooky skeleton trees - and all of this in the middle of the night ! You must be pretty mad or desperate (?!) to try this one......

This is a multicache which is located along a broad footpath in beautyful heathland just Southwest of London, not far away from the home of the Golden Farmer, an infamous Highwayman who came to a sticky end for his crimes at the Tower of London - his beheaded body was afterwards displayed in a local tree to discourage any likeminded villains....

To solve this "Multi" you should know what "Camouflage Fire Tacks" are as most (but not all) clues are highlighted by them.

The whole cache is unlikely to take you less than an hour to solve, but you can speed things up if you bring along your mountainbike. All clues are close to a main track, so there is no need to walk through the heathland, where you might disturbe rare ground nesting birds, especially in the spring and early summer. You might have to watch the brambles at the beginning of the treasure hunt.

The ideal scenario might be, if you use this cache as a social event with some friends or with some older children. Take along a picnic and watch in a clear night the planes circling over Heathrow and in the summer you might even be lucky and spot a nightjar. I would advise against caching on your own, as some parts of the heathland are very remote. The caching area well suited for dogs, but they should be kept on the lead during the summer months so that they can not disturbe the wildlife or lifestock.

The official coordinates are just the starting point for the multicache. For the first clue you have to follow the track for circa 180 meters in a 37 degree direction.
As with all "Wallenstain" caches, there will be a special prize for the FTF. Have fun and good luck !

Good parking for this cache can be found at N51 20.096 W000 41.999.

(This "Night-Multi" used to be a six plus one stage cache, but the final stages got vandalised, so that I decided to reduce it to a three plus one Multi-cache, which is also less tiring for children. Enjoy !)
