It just so happened that Cache in Trash Out Day and the World Wide
Flash Mob V are the same day, May 2, 2009.
Wabaningo Ranch and Skipherr have set up the
Duck Lake State Park CITO Event at 9:00 AM followed by lunch at
noon. The Duck, Duck, Flash Mob is going to follow lunch at
exactly 1:00 PM. The CITO and flash mob are going to be held within
Duck Lake State Park. The flash mob will be a 15 minute event
complete with a pot luck dessert. We hope many geocachers will
attend both events.
For this to work, everybody will need to go about their business at
lunch. At exactly 1:00 PM EST, a large orange bucket will be placed
upon the beach at the given coordinates. The bucket will be for
collecting the "log cards." As soon as the log cards are collected
we will conduct a raffle. (Prizes yet to be determined.)
While the log cards are being signed and collected those who
brought dessert can pass out the goodies. Since the event is only
15 minutes, desserts such as Baked Alaska and tiramisu may not be a
good idea. Think smaller, easily consumed foods like candy,
cookies, or cupcakes.
After getting dirty (CITO) and getting messy (dessert) we will take
a group photo. After that, the logs should be signed and we will
have the raffle.
There may be some other surprises too. It's Duck Lake State Park so
think of ducks as our theme.
