A cache off of the beaten track that you will need special equipment for.

It seems that I must have taken thousands of people out to HaLong Bay. I was in two minds about putting a cache out here because of the historical value of the area, and the beauty of nature, but well it is a small cache, and the locals have already destroyed much of the beauty of the area by their rampant pollution. It seems that the tourists actually remove more rubbish from the water than they leave. They are better for the environment than the locals. Sadly there is no centralised rubbish collection in the region except for the floating villages themselves. So this is what I have been told is a Cache in, Trash Out location.
To get to this cache you will need to book and pay for a tour out to HaLong Bay. As most tourists out here do that anyway, I do not consider that to be a problem. When the boat docks south of Ti-Tov Island for kayaking you will need to take to a kayak and row to the cache. You will need good waterproof shoes as you will need to rock scramble up a rock with sharp indentations. Also, I have been told that the local rock formations could mean that you might get incorrect readings. So go for the navigation beacon in the attached images.
The cache is located in a small film canister in a small hole on a rock just above the high water line. You will need a hook or something like a butter knife to fish it out as I am new to this and shoved it in a bit too far. Please try to be discreet and not let the locals see what you are doing. Pretending to take a photo stop would be good.
