The White House
When I first came to Playa de las Americas in 1997, I noticed a white house far up into the mountain side to Roque del Conde. In spring 2008, we walked up to the house to see what it really was. When we came up to the house, we discovered that there was an abandoned, huge home. I do not know when it was built, or when it was abandoned. What I see is that there has been a lot of work. It is a good gravel road from the area down by the settlement by the sea and up to the house.
The house is about. 480 meters above sea level, and it is a fantastic view from there. It had both electricity and running water. I can understand in a way that he built this, but it had to be extremely cumbersome to live there.
I have placed the cache in a good distance from the house.

When I was and checked the cache 23 november 2012, I got the exact figures on how many steps there are. There are 422 steps. Then I also counted a small adjustment steps of 5 cm before a street. On the way up you pass five streets. I measured almost 90 meters in difference of hight.

The gravel road is private, and closed with a chain so that it is not possible to drive up. I guess it is 2-3 km to the cache from the parking
