Geocache Description:

Bruna Tenerife

This "construction" I found when I first was at Roque del Conde in 1997. There is a stone circle with a diameter of about 10 meters. It is clearly divided into sectors, and I think that it is 28 pieces. Some years ago I tried to ask what this was, but no one could answer. I thought that it was the remains of an ancient sundial, but now I know that there is an old threshing floor. Now I have found seven such places around Roque del Conde. </ P>

It is possible to run almost up to the cache, but I would recommend going from Playa de las Americas. It's a great ride on the eastern side of a volcanic crater. When you pass a small home, you will be greeted by 12 to 15 small dogs that notifies arrival. It is easy to walk. When you pass a concrete bridge at a transformer plant, just follow the path, but be careful with the cactus. </ P>

The name is taken from a ridge in northern Norway, where I was born. Bruna is located in about 650 meters. On this mountain, I began to build a cairn in about 1980. In my family and I moved in 1983, others continued to build on it, and today it is so large that it is no problem to see it from Ballangen. The cairn called "Nilsenvarden" by my surname.;
