Geocache Description:

You can hardly call this place overlooked - at least by one sense of the meaning. Its slap bang at the top of the local area. Not much overlooks this place. But many people do!
Many drive by on the A20, but few realise that this area exists at all.
Many know of Langdon cliffs, overlooking the Eastern Docks Ferry Terminal.... but thankfully this area is fairly quiet by comparison.

You are looking for a small cache in the ruins of one of the old lookout posts from WW2.

PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL IN THE CACHE LOCATION AREA.
WITHIN 10' OF THE AREA BE VERY CAREFUL INDEED. EDGE OF CLIFF AND THE REMAINS OF THE LOOKOUT POST IN THE GRASS (INCLUDING DROPS). TAKE IT SLOWLY.

IF YOU STICK TO THE TRAILS YOU WILL BE OK. BUT THE LAST LEG OF THE TRAIL WILL TAKE YOU RELATIVELY CLOSE TO THE WHITE CLIFFS.
STAY ON THE TRAILS UNTIL WITHIN 25' OF THE CACHE.

SOME OF THE TRAIL IS CLOSE TO THE CLIFF EDGE, SO I ADVISE AGAINST NIGHT CACHING.

FOR THIS REASON - I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS CACHE FOR CHILDREN

Once you have completed this cache, you can continue onwards towards Capel-le-ferne where you will find some more caches by other local cachers, or you can return and attempt some more of our Dover Trail caches. There are also gun placements and accessible lookout posts/bunkers up on these cliffs - but please take care. As always!
There is also an underground bunker (located in the private field beside this site), from world war two - which is still fully intact - but alas, not accessible by the general public. You can read up about it and this site on the Subterranea Britannica website (visit link) or (visit link)

Enjoy the cache. Please remain safe!
