[Sve] Tufvan

Växjö Universitets kårhus benämns Tufvan och härbärgerar förutom kårexpedition, föreningen VIS (Växjö internationella studenter), Café Tufvan, biljardrum och konferenslokaler. Långt innan Tufvan började tjäna som kårhus bodde biskopen Esaias Tegnér där. Huset flyttades 1899 till sin nuvarande plats på höjden bredvid Växjö universitets huvudbyggnad. Dåvarande ägare Fredrik Bonde ville inte att Tufvan skulle skymma slottet han låtit bygga som morgongåva till sin fru.

Cachen består av en filmburk innehållande loggbok och penna.

The students union building in the University of Växjö is called Tufvan (the Tuft) and incorporates apart from the union expedition also the Association of International Students (VIS), a café, a billiard room and conference facilities. A long time before Tufvan began its use as of today it was the home of bishop Esaias Tegnér.

In 1899 the house was moved to its present location on the hill beside the main building of Växjö University. The owner, Fredrik Bonde didn't want the building to obscure the view of the castle he had built as a gift for his wife.

The cache consists of a 35 mm film canister containing a log book and a pencil.
