White Stone
A mineral site earth cache.
English description:
At this site you will find the so-called "White Stone". The
visible part is only the top of a mineral vein which brakes the
surface. It is 6 meters long and 3 meters wide. The bureau of
environment classified this site as "worth to protect". This is the
pre-stage to a geologic habitat.
Please send your answers (not in the log) with your team name by
email. You can log immediately and do not have to wait for a
permission. Logs without an answer-email are not allowed.
Tasks:
- Name three varieties of quartz.
- Which property of quartz is used in electronic components?
- What is the sea level as depicted at the information
board?
- What height above the ground reaches the stone at the
information board?
- Which kind of quartz do you see here?
- Optional task: Post a picture of you or your GPS device and the
white stone on it.

Deutsche Beschreibung:
An dieser Stelle befindet sich der "weisse Stein". Der sichtbare
Teil ist nur die Spitze eines Quarzganges, der hier die Oberfläche
auf 6 Metern Länge und 3 Metern Breite durchbricht. Das Landesamt
für Umwelt hat diese Stelle als schützenswert eingestuft. Dies ist
eine Vorstufe zum Geotop.
Bitte schickt Eure Antworten per Email (nicht in die Logs
schreiben). Es darf sofort nach Versand der Email geloggt werden.
Es muss nicht auf eine Logfreigabe gewartet werden.

- Welche Quarzart kann man hier sehen?
- Freiwillige Aufgabe: Macht ein Foto von Euch oder dem GPS Gerät
und dem Stein und fügt es dem Log hinzu
