Geocache Description:

Another in the series of Radionut50’s Technology Caches. The cache is not at the listed co-ordinates, don’t go there.

These technology caches are not meant to be easy, but always worth a crack if you are a gadget person, or technology knowledgeable! If you enjoy this one, then have a look at GC13MVW and GC1M8WV

This cache celebrates four pioneers of a technology we all use every day. The four never worked together, but individually developed elements of the technology that brought civilisation forward in great leaps. All had patents registered, and sadly, there were court cases between some of them, however we collectively owe them a debt that many do not realise today.

To find this cache, you need to work out who the pioneers were from their initials, and find out some details about them, so you can identify an intermediate point where you must use their technology to locate the final waypoint.

The first pioneer we think of is the most recent, GM.

1. He first received his British patent in 189A .

2. He died in 19B7.

3. He received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 190H.

The next older pioneer we honour is HH. .

1. He was born in 185E.

2. He died on C January.

3. He died at the young age of G6.

The next older pioneer is NT.

1. He was born in 1M5N. D=M-N.

2. He died in 19F3.

You need to travel to 37 4A.BCD 175 1E.FGH and use a form of the technology these gentlemen pioneered.

When you get there, you will need another number, to know what to do.

For this we need to honour a much earlier pioneer, whose works are not used a great deal today, but revolutionised the world, SM.

1. He was born in 1R9S. X=R+S,

2. He died in 1TUV. Y=T

3. Z= U-V+1.

The special number you need is XY.Z, with that number, this pioneer should help you decode the final waypoint.

When you get to the final, you are looking for an ammo box with technology goodies. Please take one as a reward (swaps not necessary), we will replenish them over time.<NOTE ADDED SEPT 2022 - THE AMMO CAN WAS DESTROYED. WE HAVE TEMPORARILY INSERTED A SMALL PLASTIC BOX PAINTED BROWN.  WE WILL MOVE BACK TO AN AMMO CAN AFTER A SUITABLE DELAY TO MAKE SURE THE SITE IS SECURE.>

It is very important you hide the large box well when you leave.

AS ALWAYS, REMEMBER THIS CACHE DOES NOT REQUIRE YOU TO CROSS ANY PRIVATE PROPERTY, OR TRASH ANY GARDENS. PLEASE CACHE CAREFULLY AND LEAVE THE ENVIRONMENT AS YOU FIND IT. PLEASE ENSURE YOU RE-HIDE THE FINAL CAREFULLY
